Truman H. Brooks, 87, of Louisville, KY passed away on May 14, 2025. He was a man of many trades. A former employee of Clark Electric and American Advertising. Truman enjoyed his retirement years as the local lawn mower repairman in his neighborhood. He loved spending time at his place at Nolin Lake.
Truman was born on December 12,1937, in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, to the late Elbert and Linda (Jaggars) Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Hess) Brooks; daughter-in-law, Teresa Brooks and a great-granddaughter, Madelynn Troutt.
Truman is survived by his children, Tony (Kathy) Brooks, Sherry Arnold, Gerry Brooks, Laura (Fred) Becker; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Truman's life will be Saturday, May 24, 2025, beginning at 10am at the funeral home.
Graveside services will follow at Cove Hollow Cemetery, 4098 Nolin Dam Road, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259.
