Tryfonas Bakopoulos, age 87, fell asleep in the Lord on August 24, 2025. Beloved husband of Argie (nee Fourkas). Loving father of Fotini (Lampros Tzimas) and John (Marina) Bakopoulos. Devoted son of the late Ioannis and Fotini Bakopoulos. Proud pappou of Yanni and Demetra Tzimas, and Anthony, Sophia, Yanni and Niko Bakopoulos, and Christopher Krueger. Oldest brother of six siblings, theo of many.
Tryfonas immigrated to the United States in 1971, where he met and married Argie Fourkas, became a US citizen, raise two beautiful children and was later blessed with seven grandchildren; who he absolutely adored. After 36 years as a hard-working machinist with Union Pacific Railroad, Tryfonas enjoyed 21 years of retirement and appreciated the time he was able to spend with his family. On his 87th birthday on August 23, 2025, he was recognized and awarded by his union for 50 years as a machinist. Tryfonas had a zest for life and always made sure others were having a wonderful time when with him. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
