Tuesday S. Briggs

Tuesday S. Briggs of 7208 Hunt Rd, Jarratt, VA, gained her wings on May 19, 2025 around 5:30 pm at Bon Secours- Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. She was a native of Sussex County where she graduated from Sussex Central High School class of 1986. She was the daughter of Celestine Briggs and the late Ruben Leon Briggs, Jr. Tuesday accepted Christ at an early age and joined the First Baptist church in Jarratt, VA.
Tuesday worked in the hospitality industry for many years in various roles until her health started to decline. Tuesday was a social butterfly. She was one who never met a stranger and truly loved and valued the relationships she had with her family and friends. She was an avid dog lover, which she enjoyed spending time and raising over the years. Rico was her long-term dog that she raised from a puppy until he passed. Her last dog she got this year was Tiger which she had until she passed.
She leaves to morn: her only child, which she loved dearly; Kenneth Briggs of Jarratt, VA, her mother; Celestine Briggs of Jarratt, VA, four aunts; Ola Mae Wyatt (Thomas), Valerie Evans of Fort Wash., MD, Dora Spencer of Stony Creek, VA and Brenda Repass of Stony Creek, VA. Four uncles; Francis (Jerome) Briggs (Ora) of Stony Creek, VA, Jesse O'Nery (Sylvia) of Emporia, VA, and Donald O'Nery (Patricia) of Hinesville, GA. Two great aunts; Ethel Poarch of Stony Creek, VA and Louise McDougle of Brooklyn, New York. Two long-term best friends of many years; Stephanie Wells and Michelle Jackson and a numerous number of cousins and devoted friends of many years.
