Turner Edmond Jr., a respected member of his community and a dedicated family man, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, in his hometown of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on June 25, 1944, in Aberdeen, Turner lived a life in faith and devotion.
Turner was known as a God-fearing and holy man, whose life exemplified the principles of love, compassion, and service. As an Apostle, he dedicated himself to his faith and community, impacting the lives of many throughout his journey. His unwavering commitment to his beliefs inspired those around him, creating a lasting legacy of kindness and spiritual strength.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Edmond; his son, Jermane Edmond; his daughter, Vickki Edmond; his sister, Angie Belle; and his brother, Leon Edmond. These family members cherished Turner deeply and will continue to honor his memory in their lives.
Turner was preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Edmond; his father, Turner Edmond; and three sisters, Lessie Howell, Betty Hardy, Christine Young and Step-Son, Maurice Miller. The love he shared with his deceased family members remains an integral part of his story, and they will be remembered with fondness as part of his journey.
A visitation will be held at Carter's Chapel Church, located at 1509 Hatley Rd, Amory, MS 38821, on August 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location beginning at 12:00 PM. Ministers attending are asked to wear all clergy attire in honor of Turner's service to his faith.
Commemorating his life, a burial will follow at Oddfellows Rest West Side, located at Whitfield Street, Aberdeen, MS 39730, commencing at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life and legacy of Turner Edmond Jr., a man whose spirit will forever resonate within the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
