Twila Clever

1933 - 2025

Twila Mae Clever, 91, of Vandergrift, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, in the Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born April 7, 1933, in Kittanning, she is the daughter of the late Irvin and Bertha Foght Knepshield. Twila was employed by Big River Mfg. in Kittanning, Isley's in Vandergrift, and the Bonfire in Allegheny Township. She was a member of the North Apollo Church of God, The Ladies Rebecca in Bethel Township, and the Bethel Township Vol Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Rich (Debbie) Clever of Morgantown, WV; three daughters, Doris 'sis' Hancock (Bill Stivason) of Ford City, Cindy Eshenbaugh of New Kensington, and Linda (Rick) Smith of Ford City; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Clever; her significant other, John Petrosky; two daughters, Wendy Shearer and Debbie Cravener; her granddaughter, Ashley Clever; three grandsons, Kenny 'flea' Stivason, Christopher Michael Fair, and Richard Harley Jr.; three brothers, Dwight, Covert, and Dean Knepshield; and three sisters, Doris Waugaman, Maxine McDivitt, and Donna Shirley. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating.
