Twila Pulsipher Obituary

Visit the Moapa Valley Mortuary - Logandale website to view the full obituary.

Twila Pulsipher, age 94, died peacefully at her home in Logandale, Nevada, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born March 19, 1931, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Marvin Herbert and Glenna Sylvia Leavitt Waite. On June 22, 1951, she married Charles Kay Pulsipher in the St. George LDS Temple.

Moapa Valley was home to Twila for most of her life, and she held a deep love for it. She attended elementary school in Glendale before moving to Logandale, where she finished her early schooling. She entered Moapa Valley High School in Overton, Nevada, where she participated in numerous school plays and operettas and proudly served as a cheerleader for all four years. After graduation, she continued her education at Branch Agriculture College (now Southern Utah University) in Cedar City, Utah, earning her Associate’s Degree. During this time, she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Charles Pulsipher, and after he completed his degree, they were married in the St. George Temple before returning to Logandale to begin their family.

Twila was a devoted homemaker and mother who loved her children fiercely. She found joy in serving her neighbors and friends through countless church and community functions. Twila had a deep love for flowers, especially roses, and she took pride in her meticulously kept yard, ensuring it was always adorned with beautiful flowers and bushes.

Twila valued health and vitality, exercising regularly and delighting in her daily rides around the neighborhood on her three-wheel bicycle—a practice her neighbors grew accustomed to seeing, and one she continued until just a few months ago.

A dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ, Twila worked diligently to instill faith in her family. She served faithfully in many church callings, including as Relief Society President, Primary President, and Young Women’s President. She supported her husband in his calling as Stake Patriarch and served with him as Assistant Matron in the Bolivia Temple. Together, they also served missions in Monterrey, Mexico, and Lima, Peru. In every role, Twila brought warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for people.

Music was another lifelong passion. Twila had a beautiful voice and sang in various groups and settings throughout her life. She was part of a beloved trio with her friends Arlene Lewis and Rhea Langford, performing with them as well as doing solos at school functions, weddings, church meetings, college events, and even live on the radio one Sunday. For 20 years, she was invited to sing “Oh Holy Night” at the school Christmas assemblies—a tradition fondly remembered by many.

Twila’s life was defined by faith, service, music, and love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, joy, and example that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; three sons and two daughters: Stace (Paula) of Logandale; Brent (Janet) of West Richland, WA; Deanna (Dave) Nichols of Draper, UT; Patrice (Mark) Holyoak of Castle Dale, UT; Cory (Melissa) of Medford, OR; daughter in law, Dolores Pulsipher of Washington, UT; 26 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; one sister, Velma Hunt of Spanish Fork, UT and one sister in law, Beth Waite of St. George, UT. She was preceded in death by one son, Craig; one grandchild, Tyler; parents Marvin and Glenna Waite, four brothers and one sister, Curt, Vern, Darrell, Ronnie, and Karen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Logandale West Stake Center, 3245 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, NV. Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30–10:30 a.m. before services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
