Ty Anthony Bouvier
April 8, 1968 - November 13, 2024
Beloved son, big brother, father & friend, Ty Anthony Bouvier, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13 at the age of 56. He struggled with his health for some time, but was much comforted by the support and unconditional love of his family and friends.
Born and raised in the Metairie/Kenner area, Ty was a moodmaker: everywhere he went, laughter and smiles followed. He was a natural storyteller, often recounting memories of the good old days-tattooing metal legends, touring with Pantera, taking family fishing trips to the camp in Golden Meadow. His favorite thing in the world was to call folks up and check in, just to make sure they knew he was thinking of them. He was also a talented artist and tattooer; over his 40 year career, he left a mark-literally-on thousands of people locally and across the country.
He fostered his passion for music, art, and tattoos in his two daughters, Jessika & Courtney Bouvier, who survive him in death and carry on his creative legacy. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Shows Pennington; his stepfather, Wayne Pennington; his sister, Denise Bouvier Monjure; his brother, Shane Michael Bouvier; his stepbrother, Jason Gitz; and his niece and nephew, Alissa & Nolan Bouvier. Ty is preceded in death by his father, Earl "Billy" Joseph Bouvier Jr., his hero and role model.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00, with a funeral service to immediately follow. Ty avoided any event that required a suit: to honor his signature style, please feel free to dress casual, graphic tees and all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and clients of Ty's share photos of their memories together. These will be printed and displayed during the funeral service; pictures of any tattoos he did are also encouraged.
