Tyler Michael Johnson

Tyler Michael Johnson was born to Nichole Johnson and William Johnson on October 31, 2002 in Youngstown, Ohio. Tyler passed suddenly in a car accident on February 10, 2024 in Richlands, NC at which time he was 21 years old.
Tyler graduated from Richlands High School in 2021. He was an avid football player in high school and was a current player with the Carolina Kings Semi-Pro Football team. He was an outdoor enthusiast including hunting, fishing, paintball, dirt bike racing and recreational target shooting. Tyler accepted the Lord as his savior when he was 15 years old. Tyler was recently sworn in as an Onslow County Detention Officer and had aspirations to pursue police work. Tyler is very loved and was a friend to all.
Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Johnson Jr., maternal grandfather, Robert Conway, beloved dog Owen and numerous other loved ones.
He is survived by his parents, Nichole and William Johnson of Richlands, two sisters, Ciera (Thomas) Macri of Richlands and Jadyn (Mikel) Jackson of Jacksonville, paternal grandmother Lilia Johnson, maternal grandmother Cheryl Hatala, and niece Brinley Macri. Tyler is also survived by long time girlfriend, Aaliyah Pittman, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tyler loved his family and friends and will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home in Richlands, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
