TYLER RIPPEE Obituary

Tyler Rippee was born October 29, 1979 to Thomas and Sandra Rippee in Reno Nevada, where a substantial part of his extended family called home. He graduated from Sparks High School in 1998 where he excelled at football, wrestling, and track and field. He received a full football scholarship to Bakersfield College where he studied Agriculture. He was a mountain of a man with an even bigger heart. Anytime he was purchasing food and spotted a hungry person nearby, he would buy an extra meal for them. If he was getting money from an ATM and there was a person with a sign he would withdraw extra money because he knew what it was like to go without. Tyler had the spirit of a fighter, and conquered every obstacle that was put in front of him, no matter how big or small. He will be remembered by those who love him as someone who would do anything to make others laugh. Tyler passed away from complications of Covid on September 22, 2021 in the midst of training for the biggest competition of his powerlifting career- the 2021 UPA Legions Sports Fest. He is survived by his sister, nieces, and large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Service will be held Saturday, October 9th at 11:00am at La Paloma Funeral Services, located at 5301 Longley Ln Ste E-180 Reno, NV 89511.

I'm very saddened and extend my deepest condolences for the loss of Tyler. I regret that I only had the opportunity to meet him once many years ago at his father's funeral (my cousin Tom), but we had a good chat. Sending much love to all the family I share with Tyler and to all who love and will miss Tyler.
