Tyne Jeannine Jenkins, age 57, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. She was born August 8, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tyne had several jobs along the way. Her favorite was bagging groceries at Publix. She always said the people came to see her!
The last 8 years Tyne spent 3 days a week at Burnt Mountain Center where she made friendships with staff and clients.
Tyne's church family was a highlight of her week. Going to worship God and learn about scripture was always an important part of her life. Tyne loved the Lord!
Tyne is survived by her father, John Jenkins of Jasper; aunt and uncle, Susan and Julian Watters of Woodstock; uncle and aunt, Joseph "Joe" and Gloria Jenkins of Virginia; aunt, Vickie Tallent of Pelham, Alabama; cousins, Andy Watters of Woodstock, Joseph Tallent of Pelham, Alabama, and Jenny Diebold of Pelham, Alabama. Other family members also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Ben Langley and Tony Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Forest Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to Samaritan's Purse of North Carolina at samaritanspurse.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
