November 25, 1937 – September 24, 2025

Tyrone Lee Heinmiller, 87, passed away peacefully September 24th, 2025. He was surrounded by family at the Anderson Hospice Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Best known as “Ty” by those close to him, was born November 25th, 1937, on the family farm in Kokomo, IN. He was the oldest son of D. Scott and Wilodene “Sissy” (Warner). He was raised on the farm with his siblings, Ramona and Donnie, until he left for college.

Ty graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in civil engineering in 1960 and started his career with the Indiana transportation department building highways.

Ty met Linda (Vaughn), his wife of 64 years, on a blind date. They later married on August 6th, 1961. Ty then began his 47-year long career with Huber, Hunt, and Nichols, moving around the country building commercial projects. They had three children, Tyrone Lee Heinmiller II, Lisa (Gentry), and A. Kaye (Jewett).

He finished his career as the Executive Project Manager working on the Cincinnati Reds new stadium, where he imploded one of his first projects, Riverfront Stadium, and completed his last project Great American Ballpark.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Lisa (Robert “Tony” Gentry), eleven grandchildren: Justin (Stephanie Wethington), Joshua, Tyler, Hannah, Chelsea, Tyrone III, Zachary, Nick, Kyle, Nick (Gentry), Olivia, five great grandchildren: James, Dillon, Winnie, Moria, Rosie and favorite pet, Ginger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister, son Tyrone II, and daughter A. Kaye.

The memorial visitation will be held October 17th, 10am-12pm, at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, OH.

Ty was a Mason, who loved fishing, reading, and DIY projects.
