Tyrone Johnson

Tyrone Johnson, native of Coffee County, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the age of 81. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Shirlie Ellis officiating. Visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Haw Hill Church Cemetery in Brundidge. Pallbearers will be Joe Carnley, Josh Carnley, John Williams, JR Smith, John Kilpatrick, and Buddy Carter.
Mr. Johnson was a long time member of Haw Hill Assembly of God, and served with others at church. He was in the United States Army and Vietnam War. He worked for Dorsey Trailers for over 30 years where he was a welder and maintenance mechanic. He later worked with a forklift manufacturer. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Loving survivors include his wife, Junell Johnson; his son, David Johnson (Lisa); his grandsons, Matthew Ellis (Drue), Coby Johnson; and granddaughter, Raegan Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit Johnson & Lois Boutwell; as well as two brothers, Mitchell and Eugene Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund at Haw Hill Assembly of God.
