Uday Ramjibhai Kumar, 75, of Middlebury, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the adorning husband of Daksha (Padhiar) Kumar for 50 years.
Uday was born on October 2, 1950 in Coimbatore, India, son of the late Ramjibhai and Renuka (Upadhyay) Padh. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree before beginning a long and dedicated career. Uday worked for many years as a store manager at Payless Shoes, where he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and warm presence with both colleagues and customers.
Above all, Uday cherished spending time with his family, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Besides his wife Daksha, Uday leaves to honor and cherish his memory his two daughters Darshana Bhatt and her husband Hermant of New York and Rachana Thakar and her husband Rahul of Maryland; three grandchildren Krish, Sahil and Shaan and three sisters Asha, Jyotsna and Bharati of India.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. (EST) at Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury, CT. Cremation will follow the services at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
