Urban F. Goedde, 94, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Aperion Care Lincoln. He was born July 21, 1931 in Gibson County, Indiana to the late Marie (Schaefer) and Andrew Goedde, Sr.
Urban was a veteran of the US Army. He was a truck driver for JH Rudolph until he retired in 1992. Urban was a member of Teamsters Local 215 for 31 years and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Lisa) Goedde and Mark (Beth) Goedde; grandchildren, Miranda (Mike) Switala, Brittney McCullough, Lindsey Beard, Shaun (Ashley) Thompson and Kyle (Brittney) Thompson; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Darwin (Jeanette) Goedde, Andrew (Marcia) Goedde and Lorretta (Jerry) Schmitt; sisters-in-law, Janith Goedde and Annette Goedde; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Urban was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years in 2019, Doris (Frick) Goedde; and brothers, Joe Goedde and Marvin Goedde.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 704 N. First Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Steve Lintzenich officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or Heart to Heart Hospice, 610 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713.
