Jeanette Rae Goedde

Jeanette Rae Goedde, 88, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born on June 6, 1937, in Evansville to the late George Henry and Rose Ann (Hillenbrand) Helfrich. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Holiday Retirement Village and as a private sitter. Surviving Jeanette are her husband of 70 years, Darwin Goedde; daughters, Janice Wilcox, Donna (Ray) Vanover, Jane (Bill) Mahan, Rebecca (Randy) Colson, Diane (Jeff) Norman and Lisa (Bruce) Mayer; sons, Ron (Letta) Goedde, Robert (Pam) Goedde, Rick (Robin) Goedde, and Roger (Jennifer) Goedde; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by sisters, Marcella Montgomery and Eloise Akin; by brothers, Wilfred Helfrich, Alvin Helfrich and George Helfrich, Jr.; by a granddaughter, Kristen Norman and son-in-law, Dwayne Wilcox. Funeral services for Jeanette will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church, Pastor Reid Schultheis officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725.
