Ursula Anna Marta Grimm, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, on September 29, 2024. A beloved member of the community since 1978, Ursula was formerly a resident of New Jersey.
Born on July 15, 1938, in Marne, Germany, to Karl and Frieda Schneider, Ursula was raised and educated in her hometown before immigrating to the United States. In September 1959, she married the love of her life, Goetz Grimm. Together, they shared many happy years, raising two daughters until Goetz's passing on September 17, 2011.
Ursula was a devoted homemaker and a talented cook, known especially for her wonderful German potato salad, a favorite among family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, and she was the cornerstone of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Brad) Arbuckle and Kathrin (John) Schrouder; grandchildren, Alex Arbuckle, Eric Schrouder, Kirby Stout, and Kevin Schrouder; and great-grandchildren, Mickey Stout, Donnybrook Stout, Wilhelmina Stout, Mayleigh Schrouder, Eleanor Schrouder, and Rhett Schrouder.
In accordance with Ursula's wishes, funeral services will be private. Her family cherishes the memories of a life well-lived and a heart full of love.
In lieu of flowers or trees, those wishing to make contributions in memory of Ursula may donate to the Red Cross for Hurricane Helene disaster relief.
