He was born March 20, 1929, in Oakland, California, the son of James and Elizabeth Truscott. He served as pastor of the Foothills United Methodist Church in Gloversville and the First Baptist Church in Andover, NY.
David is survived by his children, Stephen Truscott (Diane) of Georgia, Daniel Truscott of Idaho, Tricia Truscott (Michael Williams) of Illinois and Kristi Truscott (Bob Streb) of Victor, NY; and his beloved grandchildren Ruby and Caleb Truscott, Reanna Stewart. He was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Mason Truscott.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, Gloversville, NY. A full obituary will be published at a later date. A memorial service and internment will be held in the Spring 2025.
