Valerie Jo Carroll Cagle, age 54, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born in Hohenwald on August 6, 1971, to the late Roger Carroll and Peggy Cross.
Valerie was a simple and private person who enjoyed life's quiet moments. Raised on a farm, she loved spending time outdoors and helping her father care for the animals. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach and Rock City and was always ready for a shopping adventure.
Valerie shared a loving bond with her soulmate, Kerry Cagle, with whom she spent the last twenty years of her life.
She is survived by her soulmate, Kerry Cagle; sons, Andrew Bennett and Justin Cagle; stepsons, Tommy (Roxanne) Cagle and Curtis Cagle, and stepdaughter, Charley Ann Cagle; sisters-in-law, Kim (Johnny) Clayton, Tina (Toogie) Hinson, and Shelia Carroll. Valerie was also blessed with seven grandchildren: Blain and Blaze Bennett, Layla and Daniel Graves, and Jaxon, Aiden, and Cainen Cagle, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Linda Carroll, Wanda Carroll, Sheila Carroll, Patty Robertson, and Peggy Cagle for the wonderful care they provided.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 15, at 11:00 AM, with Johnny Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Cemetery.
