CAMDEN, NY/ GASTONIA, NC – Valerie J. Roberts, 76, of Camden, NY, and formerly of Gastonia, NC; passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. She was born in Milford, CT, on November 14, 1949, to the late Gordon and Lois (Farr) Edgerton.
Valerie was a homemaker and dedicated her life to the love and care of her family. She was a woman of faith and a devout member of the Camden Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved attending dirt races with family throughout Central New York. She also enjoyed her hobby of crocheting.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, her parents, Gordon and Lois, and her sister, Sharon Edgerton.
Valerie is survived by her children Joyce (Kris) Rice and Edward Roberts; two grandchildren, Zackary and Eddy; her brothers, David Edgerton and Don Edgerton, along with several nieces and nephews.
Spring Graveside Services will be held in Garrison Cemetery, Harrisville, NY, at a time to be announced where Valerie will be laid to rest with her husband Edward. Arrangements are in care of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
