Valley Ray Worth passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital following a sudden health complication. He was born on February 5, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Raymond Richard and Dorothy (Kosha) Worth. Val graduated from Vassar High School in 1986. From the time he was old enough to walk he was crawling on backhoes and bulldozers with his father. Val worked most of his life with his family at Worth Construction maintaining Enbridge Energy pipelines. He had a zest for life, was the entertainment at get-togethers and was committed to taking care of his family. Val enjoyed cruising in his side-by-side through the neighborhood, wrenching on his old cars (especially his '68 Nova & '85 Camaro) and running machinery. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by many.
Surviving family include his wife, Tammy; mother, Dorothy Worth; children, Taylor Worth, Nichole (Loren) LaCount, Jacob (Shelby) Worth and Elizabeth Worth; grandchildren, Jaxson, Dallas, Walker and Clayton; sisters, Amy Worth and Sarah (TJ) DeKett & nephew Lemmy; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Marie LaCount and his best buddy, Rick Knight as well as many other loving family and friends. Val was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Richard Worth; grandparents, Rudy and Lucille Kosha and his uncle, Truman Worth.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Pastor Curt Lapham officiating.
