Vance Calvin, 72, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2026, in Penwell, New Jersey.
Born in Minneola, New York, Vance lived a life shaped by curiosity and adventure, traveling extensively throughout his years. Whether for work or passion, he explored far and wide, carrying his love of music and mechanics wherever he went.
Vance was the proud owner of Works Data, a telecommunications company he founded and led for 45 years. Through dedication, integrity, and vision, he built a respected business and lasting professional relationships.
A lifelong lover of music, Vance was an accomplished bass player who found joy and expression through sound. He also had a deep appreciation for British cars and was an avid Formula One racing enthusiast, interests that reflected his love of craftsmanship, engineering, and performance.
Vance is survived by his children Michelle, Shane, and Jason; his daughter-in-law Jenna; his beloved granddaughters Lydia and Sadie; his former wife Mariann; his sister Wendy Calvin Fedele and her husband Vinnie Fedele; and his brother Bruce Calvin.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Elsie Calvin.
Vance will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his passion for music, and his devotion to family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vance's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
