Vanessa La’Rae Davila was born on July 8, 1990 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the union of Nowell Davila, Sr. and Catherine Alicia Davila. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Vanessa accepted Christ at an early age and united with Concord Baptist Church. She received her formal education in the public schools of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee. She earned a BS in Psychology from Austin Peay State University in 2016 and was pursuing her Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University at the time of her passing.
Vanessa enjoyed going out to eat with friends, curling up to a good book, shopping and watching Lifetime movies. She was known to be a kindhearted, nurturing listener and spent a great deal of her time doling out advice and uplifting friends and family. Vanessa saved her best moments for her niece, Carson, who lovingly called her “Tee-Tee”.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Alicia Davila; her grandparents, Thelma Ann Brewer Liggins, Damon Leon Liggins, Sr. (Debra); and Ida B. McFadden; and Carmen Annette Gentry, godmother.
She is survived by her father, Nowell Davila, Sr. (Maria); step-father, Brian Keith McFadden; grandfather – Franklin McFadden, sister, Brianna Caycee McFadden; brothers, Nowell Davila, Jr. and Aharon McFadden; uncles – Tony Brewer (Sandra); Andre Brewer; Damon Leon Liggins, Jr. (Kendra); aunts – Bridget Liggins; Lonette Collazo (Efraim); cousins, Tabitha Suber (Phillip); Damon Williams, Remington Shaw, Bryan Majors, Tia Suber, and Janay Stevenson and a host of other family and friends.
Vanessa will also be terribly missed by her niece – Carson Alicia McFadden; nephew – Micah McFadden, goddaughters Brooklynn Tyler and Destiny close friends – Brittnay Tyler, Chris Milan, and San Pappilion; and godmothers – Andrea Hughes and Schenan Pugh-Marshall.
Viewing Friday, September 2, 2022, 2-7, funearl Saturday, September 3, 2022, 1:00pm at Concord MB Church. Burial in Concord Church Cemetery.
