Vaughn E. Ewan, 70, of St. Paul, and a lifelong Neosho County resident, passed away at 1:56 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul.
He was born on July 13, 1954, at Girard, Kansas to Leroy and Norma Jean (Russell) Ewan. Vaughn grew up at St. Paul and attended St. Paul schools. He worked various jobs before working for Beachner Construction and Riggs Trucking as a truck driver. He retired due to his declining health.
Vaughn enjoyed hunting, especially coyote hunting, fishing, having a good time with family and friends, having talks about the weather, watching westerns, and hanging out at the Erie American Legion.
He is survived by his son, Jay Ewan, and his wife, Jennifer of St. Paul, his stepson, Phil Gutsch of Erie, four grandchildren, Logan Ewan, Mason Ewan, Maverick Ewan, and Alexa Ewan all of St. Paul, three brothers, Dusty Ewan of St. Paul, Dean Ewan of St. Paul, Kris Ewan of Springfield, MO, three sisters, Deliena Wagner of Erie, Dana Chappell of Babcock Estates, FL, and Dixie Ewan of Erie, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in St. Paul. The burial will be held in the East Hill Cemetery later. Memorials are suggested to the Erie American Legion Post No.102 and these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home 403 Main St. St. Paul, KS 66771.
