Vaughn Ray Walker, age 67, of Iola, Kansas, passed away December 1, 2024, at his home. Vaughn was born December 4, 1956, in Nampa, Idaho, to Benjamin C. Walker and Jeanette (Burgess) Walker.
Vaughn graduated in 1975 from Marmaton Valley High School, Moran, Kansas. He served his country in the United States Army. Vaughn worked for Berg Manufacturing as a temporary employee upon discharge from the military in 1978 and completed his employment with Haldex in 2010
Vaughn and Kay were married October 28, 1997, in Gas, Kansas. In his earlier years, Vaughn enjoyed putting miles on his motorcycle. He was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, and was a powered parachute pilot. Vaughn liked to tinker with wood. His latest project was making a family-gathering table for his home.
Vaughn loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to his annual family reunion at Stockton Lake.
Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Stanley, Donald Stanley, Kermit Walker, step-son, Scott Whitney; mother-in-law, Juanita Dunlap; brothers-in-law, Gary Gott, Larry Gott, Rusty Gott; and nephew, Austin Gott
Vaughn is survived by his wife, Kay, of the home; step-son, Tad (Angie) Whitney, Gas, Kansas; twin brother, John (Angie) Walker, Colony, Kansas; brother, Nicholas Walker, Frederick, Maryland; grandsons, Ethan Scheibmeir, Zane (Torre DePriest) Whitney; great-grandson, Hudson Scheibmeir; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Pulling For Veterans or LaHarpe VFW, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
