LORMAN, MS: Funeral services for Velma 'Doll' Bell, 66, who died Tuesday, June 3, at her resident, will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, July 14, at True Faith Church with Pastor Charles Dotson officiating. Burial will be in the Bell's Family Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from noon until service time at the church.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Bell; her parents, Julius Reynolds and Ruby Yarbrough Reynolds and a sister, Patricia 'Gloria' Reese.
She is survived by three sons, Eric (Kim) Bell, Desmond Bell and Demond Bell, all of Lorman, MS; two daughters, Tyrise Jackson Evans and Lashonne Reynolds, both of Lorman, MS; three brothers, Walter Reynolds of Lorman, MS, Earl Simms of Columbia, MS and Charles Simms of Gulfport, MS; a sister, Janie Reynolds-Ellis of Lorman, MS; two uncles, Archie Wilson of Pattison, MS and Edmond (Pam) Jones of Killeen, TX; two aunts, Jimmie Scott of Fayette, MS and Vera Simms of New Orleans, LA; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
