Venita Mae Brushwood

Venita M. Brushwood 82, of Grant City, passed away peacefully at Orilla's Way on October 13, 2023. Venita was born on May 14, 1941 in Agency Missouri, the daughter of Pearl & Forest E.R. Morgan. She graduated from Faucett High School, and attended Hillyard College and Platte College for business. Venita was a member of the Agency Methodist Church. Venita was united in Holy Matrimony to Franklin Brushwood in 1956. This union was blessed with 2 sons and 1 daughter. They divorced in 1981. Franklin proceeded her in death on August 23, 2020. Venita was proceeded in death by her infant daughter, Anita Brushwood, son, Mark Brushwood, son, Garrett Brushwood, her parents, significant other, Burt Thomas, sisters, Dorothy Kerns and Rossela Sullivan, and brother, Walter Morgan. Venita is survived by 8 grandchildren, sisters, Bonnie Murphy and Nellie Peck, several nieces and nephews, and daughters in law, Linda Brushwood and Debbie Brushwood.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Tuesday October 17, 2023, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Barnett Officiating. Inurnment Agency Cemetery.
