Vera I. Abar

Abar, Vera, was born on January 19, 1936 in Melvindale, Michigan to Robert and Irene Silvey. Vera, who resided in Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Paul Abar. Loving mother of Chris (Rich) Werth of Milan, MI. and Michael Abar of Rochester Hills, MI. Dear sister of the late Charles Silvey and the late Ilene Thivierge. Dearest grandma of Nick and Tyler Werth and Amelia Abar. Vera leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in- law, neighbors, and dear friends including Art Hoerl. Vera is a long-time parishioner of Guardian Lutheran Church in Dearborn and when up north at St. John Lutheran Church in Cheboygan. Vera will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Friday, November 1, 2024 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service to be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park.
