Vera Christine Adams

Vera C. "Babe" Adams, 88, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away and entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
She was born on October 27, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky. Vera was a retired secretary from Muldoon Memorial after many years of dedicated service. She was a woman who embraced the simplicity of life's pleasures. She enjoyed reading, dancing, pillow fighting with her grandkids and listening to all types of music, and her new(old) found love of playing the cello.
Yet, among all these passions, Vera's deepest devotion lay in her family. She was more than a beloved mom, mawma, sister, aunt, and friend-she was a guiding light, and a fountain of love that overflowed with terms of endearment for those she cherished the most. Her legacy lives on in the countless hearts she touched and the memories she carved into the lives of those who knew her.
To her family, she was a rock of unwavering support that encapsulated the boundless affection and tenderness she showered upon her loved ones. Her presence was a warmth that wrapped around gatherings, infusing them with laughter, kindness, wisdom, and an abundance of love.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Vera Schmidt, and her brothers William Schmidt and Robert Schmidt Sr.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Denise Jeffries (Mike Cozzin), Donna Wood, Cheryl Johnston (Jeff), Diane Smith (Donald); sister, Wanda Lucas; brothers, Julius Schmidt, Herman Schmidt, Johnny Schmidt (Helen); sister in law, Yvonne Schmidt; 7 grandchildren, Bradley (Kandice), Joshua (Allison), Britney, Kayla, Cody, Zachary (Sam), Sophia; along with 9 great grandchildren, Kamryn, Jackson, Kennedy, Noah, Lincoln, Claire, Grayson, Robert, Cayedynn.
There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 1-4pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
As we bid farewell to "Babe", may we remember the woman who taught us the true essence of devotion, love, forgiveness, and family. Though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains ever-present, encapsulated in the memories we hold dear.
