Vera E. Gutsue, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the age of 98.
She was born January 3, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to the late Owen and Laura Smith Patrick.
On May 12, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan, she was united in marriage to Nicklos J. Gutsue. Mr. Gutsue preceded his wife in death June 2, 2004.
Although having employment outside the home over the years, she was currently a homemaker. She was an active member of New Apostolic Church in Sterling Heights and prepared many Sunday dinners for the family to enjoy after church services. Vera will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and her family. Vera had an endearing remark to those who were leaving after a visit and say ' Bless your heart'.
She will be greatly missed by her children, David (Heidi) Gutsue, John ( Lori) Gutsue, Gerald ( the late Melissa) Gutsue and Daniel (Kristie) Gutsue.
The family tree grows stronger with the addition of 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister in law Jean Patrick, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by grandson Nicklos and brother Raymond Patrick.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Private entombment will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be addressed to the New Apostolic Church of Sterling Heights.
