Vera Necaise Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at New Life Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Catahoula Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Robert Newell will officiate the service.
Vera was a member of New Life Baptist Church, and loved her church family very much. Our mother was a praying woman with faith as her foundation and prayer as her weapon; if she knew you, she prayed for you.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Julius Penton, Sr. and Mary Louise Daws Penton; her son, Leslie Sheridan; her daughter, Ilene Provost; her son, Brian Sheridan; her brothers, Herman Penton and Sam Penton; her sisters, Betty (Bill) Lerch and Ida Provost; and her granddaughter, Sara Sheridan
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carolyn (Richard) Singletary; her son, Wade Sheridan; her daughters, Marylou Malone and Andrea Sheridan; her 10 grandchildren, Daryl, Aaron, Michael, Marie, Lezlie, Tennille, Missy, Andrea, Nathan, and Gage; her 24 great grandchildren; her 15 great great grandchildren; her brother, Charles Penton; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Church at 6019 Rd. 312, Kiln, MS 39556.
