Vera Lavon Reed, age 88 of Dierks, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Dierks. She was born on January 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Fred and Patra Parker.
Lavon was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Dierks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, of sixty-two years, Wayne Reed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Reed and wife Angie and Kerry Reed; seven grandchildren, Eric (Victoria) Reed, Jason (Candy) Tipton, Michelle Young, Crystal (Jason) Smith, Mandy Plank, Candy (Josh) Miller, Sandy (Chris) Frasier; twenty great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Dierks.
A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Calvin Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
