Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will be in Moccasin Cemetery, near Beecher City.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Food Pantry or Effingham County FISH. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Dalyne was born on June 26, 1936, in Moccasin Township, Effingham County, IL, the daughter of Frank and Laura Mabelle (Doty) Tipsword.
Dalyne worked at the Effingham County Senior Center for over 20 years. She also volunteered with Effingham County FISH, helping in many ways. Dalyne was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Effingham and she loved the Lord. She was loving and strong and family was important. Dalyne enjoyed playing cards, her flowers, and watching the Chicago Cubs. She also loved music and could often be heard singing and whistling.
Dalyne is survived by her children, Greg Sapp of Effingham, Brett (Janet) Sapp of Energy, Tory (Roger) Buhnerkempe of Watson, and Scott (Kelly) Sapp of Effingham; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Keith Warren Tipsword, Deane Tipsword, and Hugh Tipsword; and sisters, Gayle Norris, Frances Jean White, and Betty Fae Yocum.
