Verna Bartlett Obituary
Verna was born on September 1, 1928 to Clyde and Lucy (Barwick) Auter in Judyville (Warren County) Indiana. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1946 and began working in the county courthouse.
Verna married Donald Rex Bartlett and had three children: Gary (Kathy), Sharon and Rex (Inga). Four grandchildren: Dylan, Ian, Zach and Madison and two great grandchildren: Keller and Zoe.
She did volunteer work at Ball Memorial Hospital for 17 years and worked for Chester Wingate Insurance in Muncie. Verna also worked for her son, Gary, at G W Bartlett Company. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist church for over sixty years, the Kitchen Queens Home Economics Club and Merry Moms and Circle at Gethsemane Church.
She is predeceased by her husband Donald, her son- in-law Brent Gates and three sisters, Betty, Viola and Violet.
Her family would like to thank the outstanding and caring staff at Westminster Village for the love and care they gave her over many years.
A graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory cemetery on Wednesday October 4 at 11:00am. The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be sent to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com.

I met Verna when I became the volunteer director at the hospital in 1985. She was a dedicated and loyal volunteer to the pediatric unit for Ball Hospital. My sympathies to your family .
