Verna Long Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
traveling to the beach and was a talented seamstress.
She passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, in Pine Bluff surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Long was born January 16, 1941, in Camden, daughter of Vernon and Alma Vincent
Bumpass.
She was reared and received her early education in Dollarway.
Mrs. Long was a dedicated homemaker and founding member of Summit Baptist Church
in Pine Bluff.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Vernon
Bumpass, Jr., Jimmy Bumpass and Billy Bumpass.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond Long; two daughters, Sandy
Cross and Melissa Long; son, Robert Long (Rhonda); 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren
and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the Chapel of
Robinson and Fuller in White Hall with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. with Brother
Scott Jones officiating.
Memorials may be made to Summit Baptist Church, 901 Ridgway Road, Pine Bluff, AR
71603.
