Verna Moses Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weeks' Enumclaw Funeral Home on Feb. 29, 2024.
Verna Moses was born January 15,1961 in Seattle, Washington to Joan P. Maurice and Herman "Acey" Moses. Verna took her last breath on February 20, 2024, in her home surrounded by family in Auburn, Washington.
Throughout her life Verna enjoyed playing softball with her family, she was a kickass first baseman. She traveled to rez tourneys with the family team "Buddy's Bunch". Verna was always full of laughter and jokes; her hobbies were not only watching movies but collecting them. She loved to bead and color. She would never be caught without her crosswords, reading glasses, clipboard, and her pens. She would often be found sitting at home working on a puzzle with a movie on. Verna made memories on the dance floors with her sisters & infamous alias Brenda. She was always down for a good time and would never take no for an answer! Family was everything to Verna, she was protective and ready to rumble for any of them. Apart from her spontaneity she loved to be at the ocean and surrounded by family.
Verna worked at the MIT Bingo Hall and was a part of the start-up of the MIC as Table Games Dealer when it was just a tent. She also worked and loved driving the MIT Head Start bus till she finally retired.
Verna is preceded in death by her parents Joan & Acey. Her sisters Marjorie Moses, Elizabeth "Liz" James, Debra Starr. Her brother Samuel Moses Sr. and her son Kelly "Son-Son" Lozier.
Verna is survived by her daughters Kallie Lozier and Sadie Moses, her son Myron Lozier, her sister Julie Moses, and brother Sidney "Junior" Williams. She is also survived by her grandchildren Salina Lozier, Michael Guevara, Noah Guevara, Noah Guevara, Kellyn Lozier, Syris Cox, Troy Cox, Justyss Starr, Shawn Starr, Sheylynn Lozier, Wi'yaka Lozier, Pejuta Olney, Maizy Elkins-Lozier, and Zachary Moses-Elkins, along with her great grandchildren Kylon & Ezekiel Hollar, and T'sias Lozier.
In our hearts, Verna's laughter will echo, her warmth will linger, and her love will endure. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will be cherished forever. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love that she so freely gave to others.
