Verna M. Taylor, 94, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on March 16, 2025, at St. Paul's Senior Living Center.
She was born in New Kensington, PA on November 27, 1930, to Zell E Reed and Mary M (Skilling) Reed.
Verna was married to Kenneth Eugene Taylor on June 18, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1994.
Verna spent many years as a homemaker raising her children. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed playing board games, especially Yahtzee.
Verna is survived by: Two Sons, Bruce Taylor of Hermitage, PA and Kevin E (Sonia) Taylor of Hermitage, PA; Sister, Marion Reese of AZ; Two Granddaughters, Amanda Bistranson and Keri Bain; Three Grandsons, Brandon Taylor, James Smith and Jacob Smith; Two Great-granddaughters, Ariona and Myleigh; Four Great-grandsons, Kaleb, Devin, Christopher and Landon; Great-great-grandson, Carter;
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Patterson; Son-in-law, Jim Patterson; Two Sisters, Dolly Unkerfen and Evelyn I Pillar; Three Brothers, Edward, Earl and Donald Reed; Also a granddaughter, Gina Patterson.
The family would like to thank St. Paul's Senior Living Center family and staff for the care they provided throughout the years.
Visitation will be held at John Flynn Funeral Home & Crematory Friday, March 21st from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Lew Voisey officiating.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
