Obituary of Verne E. Halladay, Jr.

Verne E. Halladay, Jr., of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Patricia (Sacco) Halladay, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was born in Manchester, CT to Verne and Elaine (Levesque) Halladay on November 7, 1951 and grew up in Greenfield MA. Verne served in the US Navy and worked for Saybrook Fish House of Rocky Hill, CT for over 30 years.

He enjoyed being active in his church. He was an avid reader, loved history, and enjoyed numerous trips to Gettysburg, PA. He adored his many dogs over the years.

Verne is survived by his wife Patricia, of Glastonbury, CT. He is survived by his daughter Nicholanna Prince and her children Benjamin and Jenna of Wethersfield, CT, his daughter Samantha Halladay and her husband James Renstrom and their sons Wyatt and Thomas of West Hartford, CT. He also leaves behind his sister Marcia and her husband Eugene Leveille, his sister Joan and her husband Ray Kuczek, his brother Paul and his wife Joyce Halladay, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 11am-1pm with a 1pm funeral service at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
