Veronica DeVivo Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, LLC - Whiting on May 22, 2025.
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Veronica C. DeVivo report the passing of our Matriarch "Ronnie". Veronica Catherine Kubeck was born in Bayonne NJ on September 29, 1940 to her loving and doting parents, Margaret and William. Ronnie moved from Bayonne to Cranford NJ where she graduated from Cranford High School. She had a job at Silverwood Construction in Clark NJ. She married at 18, had her first of 5 daughters at the age of 19 and all 5 daughters were born in the span of 7 years. Ronnie moved with her young and still growing family from Colonia NJ to Clark NJ and was very involved with her children. Among the activities she was involved with for years was that of leader in Girl Scouts and Summer Camp. Eventually she and family moved to Elizabeth NJ and Ronnie started working for New Jersey Bell where her skills, professional and personal demeanor afforded her promotion into management. While with NJ Bell, Ronnie was very involved with the Pioneers serving the community. Ronnie moved from Elizabeth to Union NJ while some of her daughters were still in school. She eventually moved to Edison NJ and after she retired, found peace and solace at her vacation camper right on the Delaware River in the NJ/NY/PA triangle. She, George, Tippy (their dog) and many of the family, enjoyed countless fond memories at the camp site and on the Delaware. After George's passing, Ronnie eventually moved to Whiting NJ. Ronnie was a bright spirit, full of life and laughter. She was a pleasure to be around and made everyone feel welcome. She was an excellent cook, and avid music lover who spent many enjoyable evenings at piano bars singing with friends! She was a very intelligent and always reminded her daughters when they were not using proper grammar. If this information is not grammatically correct, it is no fault of Ronnie's. Mom was light-hearted and this line from "When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin Along" sums up who Mom was: "Live, Love, Laugh, and be Happy". Ronnie is now home with her parents (Margaret and William Kubeck) and her sisters, Marguerite and Ann, who both died in early childhood and infancy. She is also reunited with her significant other George Alevizatos, her daughters Kathleen, Stephanie, and Lisa, her great-great-granddaughter, Selina, her son-in-law Richard Kosch and her beloved pets Tippy and Herbie. Ronnie is survived, and will be sorely missed, by her Daughters, Marguerite Kosch who is pre-deceased by her husband Richard, Susan Mandell and her husband Anthony, her Grandchildren: Janet Mercuro and her husband Duane, Rachel Graham, Erin Scivoletti and her husband Bruce, Megan McCann, Jennifer Kelleher, Jennifer Hilbrandt and betrothed Pablito Martinez, Joseph Kanevsky, her Great Grandchildren: Alex Scivoletti, Kayla Vargas, LJ Cuccolo, Veronica Scivoletti, her Great-Great-Grandchildren: Evelyn and Sofia.
