Veronica Madigan

VERONICA MADIGAN, 89, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at home. She was born in County Cork, Ireland and resided in Cedar Grove, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp. 21 years ago.
Veronica was employed as a teacher for the North Arlington Board of Education, North Arlington, NJ for 25 years prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp. Veronica enjoyed gardening, reading and playing bridge, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Veronica was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Catherine Shiel; and by her brother, Patrick Shiel Jr. and sister, Eileen Rielly of Wall Twp., NJ. She is survived by her husband, Richard Madigan; her sons, Mark Madigan and his wife, Lisa of Vienna, VA and Brian Madigan and his wife, Maureen of Verona, NJ; her grandchildren, Sarah T. Madigan, Ally May Madigan and Grace Madigan; and by her sister, Rosealeen Webb of Ashburn, VA.

Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Please join the family following the Liturgy at Vincent's Italian Restaurant, 350 Mounts Corner Rd., Freehold, NJ 07728. A private cremation will follow. Inurnment will be at 1 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ. Please gather at 12:45 PM in the cemetery.
