Veronica Morgan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chatman-Harris Funeral Home West on Jan. 28, 2026.
Veronica Larinthia Harris - Morgan, affectionately known as "Ronnie," was born on September 4, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Ralph Emerson Harris and Carolyn Elizabeth Pitts (Harris). Surrounded by her loving family, Ronnie peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on January 17, 2026. Ronnie attended Northwestern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She began her career as a Nursing Assistant and later worked in the protective services field, where she served with care and dedication. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Aasim Security Agency, Inc. On January 1, 1988, Ronnie married the love of her life, James Phillip Morgan Jr., and together they shared 38 years of marriage. From their union came four children-Davon, Damien, Latarsha, and Sakeiah-whom Ronnie loved fiercely and raised with faith, strength, and unconditional devotion. She was a nurturing and influential parent, extending her love and guidance to many beyond her own family. She was also a proud grandmother to Joshua and Dierra. A devoted woman of God, Ronnie served faithfully as a Deaconess at New Shiloh Baptist Church and later worshiped at Ezekiel Church & Ministries Baptist under the leadership of Pastor Domanic Smith. She was known for her warm spirit, joyful presence, love for people, and unwavering faith. Ronnie was preceded in death by her brothers the late Leslie (Skip) and late Brother-in-law Preston. She leaves to cherish her devoted husband, James; her children, Davon (Tierra), Damien, Latarsha, and Sakeiah; her grandchildren, Joshua and Dierra; her sisters, Patricia, Delois, Deborah and Sister-in-law Lillian; her brother, Laurence (Tyrone); Father-in-Law James Sr. and a host of loving nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
