Veronica L. "Ronnie" Placko, 88, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Landings of Oregon. Ronnie was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 22, 1936 to Steven and Rose (Sharry) Singlar. She graduated from Waite High School Class of 1954 and 4 years later would marry the love of her life, Edward Placko. Ronnie worked at Baumgartner Plumbing and Heating for 26 years before retiring and was a lifelong member at St. Mark Lutheran Church. In her earlier years you could find Ronnie traveling with Ed all over the United States, enjoying cruises and coastlines. For 30 years you could find Ronnie keeping score as her husband was coaching the Dunberger Post Legion team. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed sewing, baking, and shopping. Ronnie was also a lifelong Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers fan watching nearly every game that was televised, but what she cherished most was her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kim (Jeff) Kruse, Mark (Tari) Placko; granddaughters, Megan (Brodie) Buehler, Tiffany (J.T.) Imperial, Heather (Brett) Tscherne; step-grandchildren, Tim (Daven) Kruse and their children, Kyle (Farah) Kruse and their child; great-grandchildren, Chase, Collin and Chloe Buehler, Haven, Harlee and Ryker Imperial and Decker and Trey Tscherne; and sister, Rose (Bob) Belville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Placko and brother, Steve Singlar
