Veronica Adassa Smith

Veronica Adassa Smith, 60, departed this earthly life on January 22, 2026, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

Veronica was born on February 8, 1965, in Stokes Hall District, St. Thomas, Jamaica. She was educated in Golden Grove Primary & Infant School and later attended Stokes Hall Secondary School. She worked as general laborer at the Tropicana Sugar Estate in Duckenfield St. Thomas, Jamaica and later retired.

Veronica was a Christian woman. She was a member of Stokes Hall Evangelistic Center in Stokes Hall, St. Thomas.

For 59 years, Veronica lived in St. Thomas, Jamaica before immigrating to the United States and settling in New Jersey on January 13, 2025.

Veronica loved to cook and bake for her family and friends and was known for her sweet potato pudding and toto.

She was predeceased by her parents, Myrtle Brown and Septimus Smith. Veronica leaves to mourn and cherish her legacy her five lovely children: Damarley, Jerace, Jevar, Jevan and Jeval; four grandchildren: Demar, Oksana, Jamian and Ayla; 10 siblings; and host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
