Ms. Veronica West was born October 12, 1955 in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late Eloise Hart and Henry Lee Hart.
Veronica West was a faithful member and Usher of St. Luke Baptist Church in Carnegie, GA under the leadership of Pastor Dwylan Glover. Veronica West retired from the Cuthbert Police Department as a dispatcher with 21 ½ years of service. When Veronica was able, her favorite past time was going to Goodwill and enjoying the company of family and friends.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Veronica was called from her earthly home to her heavenly home after an illness.
Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Derrick West (Sandra), Cuthbert GA, Bryant West (Denise), Cuthbert GA; two siblings, Willie West (Mary Alice), Cuthbert GA, the late Floyd Carter (Mae Francis), Dawson GA; one uncle, Henry Lee Walker (Carolyn), Waycross GA; seven grandchildren, Derrick West Jr, Albany GA, Malik Brookins, Dothan AL, Shanice Smith, Cuthbert GA, Kendelle Smith, Benevolence GA, Kalydra Smith, Eufaula AL, Keauna Garrett, Cuthbert GA, Marcus Smith, Cuthbert GA; five nieces and nephews, Angie West Williams, Leesburg GA, RaShawn West (Tina), Warner Robins GA, Kayonda West, Cuthbert GA, Bernard Cox (Yolanda), Jonesboro GA, Tenesha McGraw, Fairburn GA; eighteen great grandchildren; twelve great nieces and nephews; a special sister, Gloria Fillingame (Dilla), and a host of neighborhood grandchildren and friends.
