Versie Lee Smith, 92, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sunday, February 7, 1932 in Louisville, Georgia to the late Elbert and Sally (Maiden Name, Harlom) Williford. In 1960 she moved to the Daytona Beach area with her family from her birthplace.
Versie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 120 in Holly Hill, Florida and of Daytona Christian Church in Daytona Beach, FL.
Versie Lee Smith loved taking care of others. She was a woman with a generous heart that was loved by many and will be missed for years to come.
Survivors include her three children, Thomas (daughter-in-law, Bertie),Trawick, Jr., Joann (son-in-law, Dana, deceased) Marion and Emory Marion (daughter-in-law,Cathy) Smith, Jr.; brother, Freddie Williford; eight grandchildren, Shaun Trawick, Zeth Trawick, Blake Trawick, Sarah Trawick, Shea (Kim) Marion, Todd Marion, Travis Smith and Lindsey (Drew) Gardner; and five great-grandchildren, Lexie Trawick, Connor Marion, Emily Marion, Zack Marion and Lucas Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Trawick, Sr. and by her second husband, Emory Smith, Sr; as well as her two sisters, Sharon Smith and Bobbi Lambert
A Celebration of Life Service for Versie Lee Smith will be held at 11:00am with a Visitation being held from 10:00am until the Service begins all on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
