Vicki J. Colley
September 4, 1980 - October 1, 2025
Vicki J. Colley, 45, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Marion Health following injuries sustained in an accident earlier that day.
Vicki was a shining light to everyone she met, but especially to her family. Her children remember her as having a big heart, being hardworking, and always present in their lives. She was "mom" to many, opening her home and heart to her children's friends as if they were her own. Vicki loved spending time with her family, attending their events, and cheering them on in every stage of life. She also enjoyed bright colors, reading, and cooking.
She was a member of The River Community Church. A 1998 graduate of The King's Academy, Vicki went on to earn both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion Campus. She worked as a Registered Nurse and was serving as a Hospice Clinical Liaison with Gentiva Hospice. She had also worked previously at Marion Health.
Born September 4, 1980, in Lafayette, Indiana, Vicki was the daughter of Robert and Ellen (Jennings) Davis.
She is survived by her parents; her children, Tyler Griffin, Eli Griffin, Katura Griffin, and Adelyn Colley; siblings, Amanda (Jeremy) Krintz, Joshua (Jennifer) Davis, Gabriel (Dionne) Davis, and Sarah (Scott) Needham, and 4 nieces and 6 nephews. Close friends, Ryannn, Katelyn, and Connor.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at The River Community Church, North Campus, 759 S. Lenfesty Ave., Marion, with Pastor Matthew Trexler officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. A private graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyler Griffin for the future needs of Vicki's children (checks payable to Tyler Griffin).
