Vicki Lynne Fishback, age 73, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Seven Points, Texas. She was born on October 19, 1951, in Alton, Illinois to parents Oliver and Mary Kathleen (Harris) Fishback.
A proud graduate of Gravette High School, Vicki stepped into the workforce as a machine shop supervisor and later she worked in the auditing department at Walmart. After retirement, she embraced a life filled with purpose and vigor, refusing to sit still as she pursued her passions with all her heart.
Vicki was not one to shy away from expressing herself. She was admired for her strength and fierce independence, qualities that earned her respect from her peers and loved ones alike. Her "outspoken" nature often brought laughter and levity, and it was these very traits that made her a unique and cherished individual.
Those who knew Vicki will fondly remember her sitting on the back porch, surrounded by her beloved animals. This was one of her favorite pastimes, a moment of tranquility in an otherwise bustling life. Vicki's love for animals extended far beyond her own furry friends; she dedicated her retirement to rescuing and fostering animals, fulfilling a life dream that reflected her compassionate spirit.
A woman of many interests, Vicki threw herself into gardening, cooking, baking, and traveling, each hobby a testament to her vibrant personality. Whether she was cultivating her garden or whipping up a delicious meal, she found joy in the little things.
Among her proudest accomplishments was being a devoted mother to her child, Ikey. In her own way, Vicki exemplified what it meant to nurture and care for a family, creating a warm and loving environment.
Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Mary Fishback; son, Ikey; four brothers, and two sisters.
Vicki is survived by her brother, David Fishback of Seven Points, Texas; brother, Paul Fishback and Crystal of Jay, Oklahoma; sister, Debbie Almaraz and husband Alfonso of Gun Barrel City, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
