Vicki Lynn Gilbert, age 71, of Hollansburg, Ohio, entered into Jesus' arms on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home.
She was born on October 16, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Randal and Frances (Moore) Doepel.
Vicki is survived by her husband and love of her life, Terry W. Gilbert; her daughters, T.J. (Josh) Hiatt of New Madison, and Casey Gilbert of Hollansburg; her grandchildren, Emma (Mason Billenstein) Hiatt, Eli Hiatt, Ava Purkey, Landon Hiatt, Eva Purkey, and Max Memedoski; a set of twin great grandson's on the way; her siblings, Cheryl (Rick) Boyd of Vandalia, Randy Doepel of Dayton, Bonnie Doepel of Northridge, Connie (David) Wunderlich of Huber Heights, Brenda Doepel of Northridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vicki was a 1971 graduate of Northridge High School. She worked for Evenflo for nearly 10 years until she earned the title of "mom". Once the girls finished school, Vicki returned to the workforce, working for Gade Nursing Home and Rest Haven for several years.
Vicki loved animals and enjoyed the company of her cats. She was devout Christian woman and could often be found reading her bible. She along with her husband, Terry, attended Life Springs Church in Fountain City/Richmond. Vicki was a great cook and enjoyed trying new recipes from her cookbooks.
A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.
