Vicki Lee Jaquess, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Envive Healthcare of Evansville.
Vicki was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 27, 1943 to the late William and Edna (McRoberts) Jaquess. She graduated from Bosse High School and earned her masters degree in education from the University of Evansville where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She was also a member of the Evansville Museum Guild, then known as the Evansville Museum Women's Association. Vicki began her teaching career in Owensboro then Cynthia Heights Elementary School and retired from Dexter Elementary School. She loved her students and had a passion for teaching and guiding them through their endeavors. Vicki truly was an inspiration and had a lasting impact on her students. She enjoyed shopping and hanging out with her girls.
Vicki is survived by her close friends known as "The Girls", June Barnes, Tracy Courey (Chris) and Melissa Hurley (Steve) all of Evansville, IN.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brother, Roger Jaquess.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1400 E. Virginia St., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to It Takes A Village, 1417 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715.
