Vicki Jeanne McFall, 76, of Angels Camp, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 21, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Lee McFall, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in San Jose, California, Vicki was the daughter of Iva and Cecil Hughes. She attended Cherry Lane Elementary School, graduated from Campbell High School, and went on to study at West Valley Junior College.
In 1966, at the urging of her best friend Susan Beeson, Vicki began working at Thoughtful Stop Flowers in Campbell with Susan-where her passion for floral design first took root. She later continued her floral career at Eleanor Flowers in Los Gatos.
In 1979, Vicki and Ron relocated their family to Arnold, a mountain town where she found great joy in the Sierra's beauty and peace. She began working with Carol Jones at Blooms and Things in 1984, and by 1985, she had become the owner. For the next four decades, Vicki was a cherished member of the community, providing floral arrangements for significant events in the lives of many families over generations. She dedicated her life to supporting others. She was always there to offer advice and to listen. Her wisdom, compassion, and understanding were a guiding light to her friends, family, and the community.
Vicki had a deep appreciation for nature and loved driving over Ebbetts Pass and collecting pinecones, a tradition she shared with her family. She also had a love for travel, exploring Ireland, Scotland, Alaska, Canada, and many corners of the United States-always making it a point to stop in at local flower shops wherever she went.
Above all, Vicki cherished time with family and friends, and especially loved bringing everyone together. She had a true gift of making everyone feel welcome and would go out of her way to help others. Her generosity has left an undeniable mark on all that knew her.
Vicki is survived by her husband Ron, her sister Cathy Bishop, her brother Jim Hughes, her children Mark (Jennifer), Scott (Lisa), and Brad (Angela), and her grandchildren Kailer, Ty, Seth, Albe, and Mia. She was the heart and soul of her family.
May she rest in peace, knowing she will always be remembered, and that her love will continue to bloom.
