Vicki Lynn Rutledge

Vicki Lynn Coble Rutledge, age 71, of Asheboro passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025 at Asheboro Health and Rehab. She grew up in Worthville and was the beloved third born of seven daughters of the late William Curtis Coble and Barbara Durham Blackman. Vicki will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family, friends and for the many lives she touched.

Throughout her life, Vicki was known to be a dependable and dedicated worker. She was employed with Laughlin Hosiery for the better part of 30 years and Klaussner Furniture until her retirement. In addition to her career, she enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers and NASCAR. She was a lifelong fan of Dale Earnhardt.

Vicki will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Rutledge; her infant son, Richard Whitt Jr.; and nephews, Jason Macon, Kevin McNeill and Wes Norman.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Shawn Rutledge; grandchildren, Jayden, Cam and Scarlett Rutledge; her devoted partner, Jay Keeling; sisters, Gail Macon (Darrell) of Trinity, Elaine Griffin (Darrell deceased) of Randleman, Dixie Coble of Randleman, Susan Norman (Eddie) of Asheboro, Teresa Brown (Johnny) of Randleman, and Anita C. Hammer (Phillip Moreland) of Asheboro; nephews, Ronnie Macon, Alan Moore, Chris McNeill, Jason, Brian, Brandon and Jeremy Hammer, Robert Shelton and Brantley Norman; nieces, Jenny Brown, Jessica Harmon, Michelle Shoffner and Cassidy Norman; friend and caregiver, Nikki Barrett; and numerous beloved family members of the Coble family in North Carolina and Durham family of South Carolina.

The family will hold a private service at a later date to honor the life of Vicki.
